Earth, Tree, Sky... it’s how dogs experience the world. Going out for a walk is so much more than a toilet mission and exercise. For your dog, it is a welcome break from the indoors to go sniff, explore, and blow off some steam as well as relieve themselves. Time spent with your dog will focus on a positive mind-body-spirit experience, taking into account your dog’s age, skill set, activity level and abilities. Dogs from multi-dog households can be walked individually or together. Attention is paid to quiet transitions for your dog with the goal of returning them home relaxed and satisfied. I work with all breed-type dogs with stable temperaments, puppies thru seniors, including dogs with medical conditions/limitations, and can help you familiarize your newly adopted rescue with the sights and sounds of their new neighborhood. With several decades of all-breed, reward-based training experience, I bring a broad perspective to your dog’s outings by providing unhurried individual walks tailored to who your dog is. Your dog’s current level of training will be maintained or I can work on improving their on-leash skills such as excitement pulling, scavenging, and lunging at passersby, other dogs and/or animals/birds. In addition, I can attend to your dog’s specific daily medical needs including timely preparation of special meals, cleansing of wounds, ears and eyes, bandage changes, administration of injections (ie: insulin, Cytopoint, Adequan) and post-surgical isolation/cage rest as indicated by the dog’s veterinarian. As an artist, mother and a writer, I welcome the break in the middle of the day for drop-bys and walks. I have flexibility some evenings and early mornings as well. Home visits focus on quiet transitions. There are so many beautiful parks, I hope to incorporate these into our outdoor experience as well. I will support the positive training plan you have in place for your dog, and help improve or maintain foundational skills they may need.
