Your resident Pitt pet sitter, H2P!

Pet care experience

I grew up in a suburban neighborhood where everyone had dogs. Many would enlist me to walk their dogs or take care of them while they were busy or traveling. All of them have reported that their dog was well taken care of and I have been described as enbodying the spirit of a dog. I use my iPhone 13 to get great shots of the dog like using portrait mode and cinematic mode and having a friend who is a professional photographer that does pictures of dogs upon the owner's request. In addition, I have been told that I have a gift for connecting with dogs, showing them love, and giving them lots of attention! I have also been told that I weirdly taste really really good to dogs because they won't stop licking me. I will always be a dog person at heart. I am currently working part-time remotely as a social media marketer with FITTEAM and Johnson & Johnson. Being at home gives me plenty of time to spend my attention and energy on the dogs under my care. I take many breaks throughout the day which is perfect for taking the dog out on walks or just to play with them. During the school year, I am still able to provide the necessary love and attention as most of my classes occur within a few hours (I usually schedule classes half-day). I also love the outdoors and always enjoy having a dog to accompany me on my many adventures! I have a fenced backyard and live near parks which are great for walking and/or running with dogs. I also have a dog bed provided, food/water bowls, and plenty of space for dogs to play and explore! I also have a cat with a dog-like spirit who is always curious to meet a new friend!

My cat enjoyed the warm compnay of her cat, who was a friendly and welcoming host. Nancy was an acceptable sitter and met the basic expectations for taking care of our cat. It wasn't worth 5 stars, but still better than boarding in a veterinary kennel. When we got our cat back, he lost 10% of his weight. Though he appeared alright, we can still tell that our cat was stressed while there. The day I dropped off our cat, her dog unexpectedly barked at him, which caused him an acute stress reaction and panic in a way he had never acted before. I asked for daily photo updates, however that request wasn't fulfilled. Throughout the stay, she did send me photos and videos of my cat which I appreciated, but the frequency decreased over time. Communication needs to be imporved, as she wasn't really engaged in providing information. And it could be better if she responded to my communications more quickly - rather than after hours and hours. In the last few days of the boarding, she began to neglect my inquiry sometimes. Could be more serious and attentive. When we picked up our cat, the litter box became super DIRTY, and appeared to have gone uncleaned for days. There was still some dishwashing liquid left in our cat's meal bowl. And when we received our belongings back, everything was in a mess.

Nancy took great care of my cat, Pepper, while I was out of town for about a week. She was diligent about sending photo and video updates and was graceful about my anxious cat-mom requests (ex: I see he's still hiding out under a couch in typical scared-cat fashion--please put his blanket down there with him) which I greatly appreciated. I was interested to see how well the stay would go with two other animals in the house, but tbh Pepper seemed so much more relaxed after 4-5 days with Nancy than after his first 4-5 living with me as an only cat, so additional thanks to Queso Blanco for also being a warm and welcoming host and an honorable mention to Moose who may be the most well-trained doggo I've ever met.

Amazing sitter!! Took my dog very short notice for a week long stay! I have a decent sized dog and he got along with the other animals in the home. I received pictures and videos. My dog is older and sometimes his behavior shows it, but he was no challenge for Nancy. Surely becoming a repeat user.
