I grew up without pets because my mother had ailments that would not allow them. After growing up, at first opportunity I had my first dog and I wouldn't be able to live without a dog now, we actually have two. I think dogs that I've watched and dealt with seem to know that I am an easygoing person so they migrate to me for that reason. I feel that if you connect with a dog eye to eye, they understand more about you and your ways than you realize. Most of my dog sitting has been within my own home but I prefer to do out to home locations because I feel it is better for the dog. A dog has stress levels which excel when something out of the routine comes about so keeping them in their own comfortable setting is best.
