Pet care experience
Your pets are very precious to you and to me. Animals are my passion and I have had pets all of my life - parrots, cockatiels, parakeets, rabbits, cats and dogs. I volunteered for an exotic cat rescue where I was a companion to a cougar. My sister owns horses and I enjoy learning how to take care of horses from her. I have been a professional sitter for 3 1/2 years after leaving a 25-year accounting career to pursue a career working with animals. I go above and beyond your expectations to care for your pets and your home while you are away. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, turtles, rabbits, fish, chickens, ferrets and sugar gliders as well as homes, houseplants and outdoor flower/vegetable gardens. I am able to administer medications orally or by injection. I send updates at every visit along with pictures and/or video for your piece of mind and so you can see how much fun your pets are having. I currently work in South Garland, Mesquite, M Streets, Casa Linda, Case View, Lake Highlands, and Lakewood areas and around White Rock Lake. Another great job from Nancy! She was able to accept my request to stop in and check on the cats, feed them & clean the litter at only a 2-day notice and kept in great communication about her visits & my requests.
Nancy was amazing w my 2 cats! She came to our first meeting perfectly on time, took notes on everything & asked great questions. Then when I was out of town she took loving care of the cats. I look forward to using Nancy again next time

I love all breeds of dogs. Knowing the breed helps me to understand the nature and behavior of the pet. I also want to know the temperament of the dog. Are they high energy, anxious, laid back, shy, etc.? Do they have any illnesses, injuries or disabilities that require medications or special attention or food. How do they react with other dogs, cats, squirrels, children and people while on a walk or at a park? Do they pull when walking and do you have a special harness or collar for them? Have your trained them with any special commands that I should know? Do they have accidents in the house? What furniture are they allowed on, if any. If there is a swimming pool, are the dogs allowed in the pool? Are they rescued and what were the circumstances?
A typical day
Just like with my own dogs, there would be lots of love, snuggles, tummy tickles, butt scratches, walks, and catch with a ball or favorite toy. Walks would be around the neighborhood or in a park if there is one within walking distance. If a client approves, I would be happy to take the dogs to a dog park.
