I have known Nancy for over 8 years and can recommend her as a responsible and caring individual. She has always been a great friend to two legged and 4 legged individuals. You could not have a better caretaker for you home and best friends.

Nancy is an amazing woman. Your pet will never be more cared for, secure and loved than when Nancy is taking care of them. Nancy is honest, timely and loves animals. Your home will be safe and secure, you can leave home knowing that your pet is in loving hands and that your home will be exactly the way you left it when you return home.

Stop & Sniff the Roses...hydrants

Sitting in a diner at 10-years-old, nose against the window, I couldn't eat as I gazed and fell in love with a box of black lab puppies in a cardboard box at the diner entrance. Miraculously, I convinced my parents to bring one home. So began my love affair with dogs. In total I've rescued five dogs and six cats. I stop to interact with dogs more than babies :-)

What Nancy would like to know about your dog

We are lovers of all dogs. Need to know beforehand: medical history; vet contact, what scares your dog; daily routine; what is your dog not allowed to do (e.g. sit on furniture) and what is your discipline method, if any; your dog's favorite activity; is there a reward for good behavior; allergies; how long can your dog be left alone; do you have a harness for walks, are your tags/vaccinations up-to-date, where does your dog sleep, how does your dog feel about meeting new dogs, any quirks.
Are there other animals in the home? (Birds/snakes/spiders, etc.)
For the dog's emotional health it would be great to meet the pup before you left for your trip.

When Nancy watches your pet

My son was born in Colorado and while living there we hiked with our dogs... and cats! Our backdoor opened to half a million national forest acres, so off we went. I believe Long Beach has a dog friendly beach; my son and I are love the beach and there's nothing more joy-filled that a dog in the water. I once threw a stick into the water to a retriever for hour, necessitating a generous amount of liniment. Calm walks around the block are fun, too. And plenty of snuggling.
