My husband and I moved to this wonderful mountain town a year ago and are loving it! Prior to our move, we were Rover hosts for almost 4 years, between the time our sweet 16 yr old Genie died and when we were ready to have our own dog again. You’ll see a gap that represents when we once again welcomed a canine family member into our lives! We love our rescue Rosie so much!! Whether she’s with me or not, I’m still the first one to want to make friends with other dogs. I’ve enjoyed meeting lots of new pups in Black Mountain and hope to meet yours! I’m fine with the frequent sniffers and I know how to distract reactive dogs or help yours avoid other dogs who are showing bad manners. I will devote my entire attention only to your dog when I am with him or her. Rosie will be home. I will not be talking on my cell phone. I’ll be on the lookout for any situation that might disrupt my goal of having a lovely outing with your pup. To be totally transparent, the insane housing market we’ve experienced since relocating means that having a little extra would be a big help. I can’t think of any better way to accomplish it! We had such a great time being Rover hosts and we also had some great sitters for Rosie before we moved. Even though being your dog’s walking buddy won’t feel like work to me, I will take the job seriously! Just like if I was walking Rosie.
