We've been using Nancy for almost three years now and there are just not enough positive adjectives to describe her and her way with dogs. If my husband and I are traveling where we are unable to take our German Shepherd pup we know that we can feel totally comfortable sending him off to Nancy, whether it be for a couple days or a week+. He gets so much play time and loves her dogs ...

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We really appreciate our time with Moshe and are so glad we ...

It's A Dogs Life!

We offer overnight dog boarding, accepting 1-2 overnight guests to our super dog-friendly home and property in NE Portland. Our home inside has been updated to accommodate dogs in all rooms, a great patio area with a fenced, dog turfed yard around a huge pine tree, a fenced front yard, and a huge fully fenced back yard to run and romp in; Kale and Elke to hang out with, daily walks, treated like royalty, It's ...

What Nancy would like to know about your dog

I want to know the dogs’ daily routine likes and dislikes any behavior issues, is this your dog’s first time away from you, how your dog does in a pack setting, kind of play, separation anxiety, any destructive behavior, counter surfer, reaction to loud noises and ability to walk on a leash. I will sit dogs that get along with our dogs and are a good fit for all of us with no breed preference but prefer breeds that I have experience with and or have an easy going spirit, are well socialized, do well in a pack setting, walk well on a leash with minimal barking.
++We require a meet and greet prior to any booking and might ask we do a second or suggest an overnight prior to a long stay booking.
++I will not accept dogs with extreme behavior issues, who are possessive and that leads to fights or escalates to excessive fighting, destructive behavior, counter surfing, is a consistent humper, over the top high energy or has extreme anxiety. I will not accept a pet who is contagious or has been exposed to kennel cough.
My breed loves are: Alaskan Malamute, Norwegian Elkhound, Keeshond, Samoyed, Golden Retriever, Border Collie, Irish Setter, Labs, Bernese Mountain, Newfoundlands, Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernard, and my favorite small breed is the Pug and Pomeranian.

When Nancy watches your pet

We walk all over the neighborhood and do our best to get in 1 walk per day and love the walk to the Sacajawea Park, a 2 mile round trip from our house. The park is full of huge trees, green grass and has a walking path around an off-leash dog area. We do not go into the off leash area unless we feel comfortable with who is there and it's something your dog does regularly. Great for sniffing, views of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood on a clear day. We walk during all kinds of weather! Good walking manners is a must, do let me know how your dog does on leash so we all stay injury free. My mom lives in assisted living and I love taking guest dogs to visit so car travel is a must as is temperament.
