I left my baby with Nancy for just one day. It was her first time ever being with a sitter away from home. I can’t say anything bad about Nancy, she is a very nice lady and clearly loves dogs. Her little dog Max and my little one got along well. She considers all dogs coming that day and their personalities before accepting reservations. I am giving only 3 stars because there were some things that didn’t necessarily meet my own expectations. However, keep in mind I am a very picky dog mom and my fur baby is only 5 pounds. Some of the things that I thought could be better or that concerned me were 1.communication. My personal expectation is a quick response to text and calls. Especially being the first time I left her with Nancy. Initially I received a couple of responses quickly but as the day went on I didn’t receive any answers or it took a couple of hours. My instructions were to feed her dinner at 5:30. At 7 or 7:30 I ask about dinner and my perception was that it had been forgotten and that she would feed her now. 2. They spend the entire day and night outside. Possibly because the house is so small? Although playing outside is nice for dogs. My small dog is an inside dog and all day and all night is a bit much. She ended up with stickers in her long fur and was acting like she was really itchy when I got her home 3. When I arrived she had a male friend over. He was extremely nice and I had no problem once I met him. The problem is I was not told he would be there nor given the chance to meet him prior. A couple of reasons this is a concern. What if a dog has issues with men? That question was never asked. When meeting a sitter you are evaluating if you feel comfortable leaving your fur baby with that person. Similar to a child no other people should be there unless the owner has had a chance to meet and approve of them as well. 4. The next morning I received a text checking on my baby which I really liked and is a definite plus. However, when the response was not positive I never heard again. Even after following up to say she was doing much better after her bath The house is very small but yard is decent size. I don’t have a recommendation one way or the other. I think it depends on your dog and your level of expectations.

We have not had great experiences with our sitters. We have picked them up lathargic and dirty. We had a real good feeling wine. We dropped Max off with Nancy and she. We picked him up, he was still clean and was a very happy puppy! Will definitely call Nancy again and would not hesitate to recommend her!
