Our sweet beagle boy had another 5 star stay with Nancy. We were out of the country for two weeks and we never worried about him because we knew he was in good hands. She loves him and he loves her.

Nancy was great with my dog. I was so nervous and I think so was Casey, my dog. But she made it very easy, and sent pictures every day. I would highly recommend her. I think my dog misses playing with her and her puppy too. Nancy let Casey bring home a toy that he still carries around the house.

They're not pets, they're family!

For most of us, we consider dogs a part of the family, and I'm particularly partial to our SENIOR family members. When we have to travel without them, there's nothing worse than worrying about how they're doing and if they're comfortable. Let your dog stay with me and he or she can take advantage of

• a large fenced-in yard with doggie-door access
• a dog-friendly, single level, quiet home
• delicious homemade dog treats ...

What Nancy would like to know about your dog

For me, the most important aspect of a dog visitor's personality is to make sure they are dog-friendly and not aggressive. I have no breed preference, but right now we are more suited to older and/or sedate dogs. We live in a very quiet, calm home since Brewster is now at the geriatric stage in life. And, like Brewster, I no longer have the strength to handle a strong energetic dog. Doing a meet and greet is the best way to see if we're a good fit for each other.

When Nancy watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks
We have a very nice residential neighborhood to walk around, including a small park with a creek (and ducks) only 2 blocks from the house. And, if your dog is very good off-leash with other dogs, Brewster and I go to Lakewood Dog Park (68 acres of freedom), but only with your express permission!

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
You should really ask your dog. I would encourage you to bring anything from home that would make your dog's stay more comfortable, but I do have 5 dog beds, 3 couches they're more than welcome to use, and a queen-size bed they can make themselves at home on. I don't actually have any furniture that I feel is not worthy of dog use.

Time I'll spend with your dog
Most of my waking hours. I love dogs and now that I'm retired, I can indulge myself by enjoying them as much as they'll permit.
