I love dogs but maybe not pit bulls
Pet care experience
I would play with him until one of us tired and maybe walk him with owners permission. I would feed him on schedule and administer any medicines as directed by owner. I had Shepherds all my life and did every cure and surgery to prolong their lives so dogs were always my babies. I have missed a pet in my life, they add so much to your well being and always love you no matter how bad your day.

I would adhere to wishes of the owner such as not letting the dog on furniture for example. I'm sure I would care about him in a very short time, what is not to love when they look at you with those big eyes.
