The connections I have made with the dogs I meet has encouraged me to further explore the passion I have for them. My patience when it comes to taking care of a new friend has allowed me to forge an even deeper connection with animals. I have been pet sitting for family and friends ever since I moved to Portland three years ago and an additional six years before that. I have watched dogs as young as 8 weeks up to 13 years; dogs with infections (giardia, ear, etc.) that need close care and cleanliness while you are away; dogs that have cancer and need immense attention to diet, behavioral changes, and knowing when something is wrong; dogs that are blind, hard of hearing, or physically handicapped. I have spent an abundance of time with rescue dogs and have even assisted in sitting and training litters of future service dogs. As a responsible sitter with a flexible schedule, I can provide your dog with the utmost care and attention throughout the day. With overnight stays, I always encourage sitting at your house. I like to ensure your dog feels safe and is in his or her own environment when you are away. It allows for your dogs to feel natural in your absence, while growing more comfortable around a new human right from the get go. I respect and love all animals. Taking exceptional care of your pets is a priority to me and I am meticulous in the way I understand and follow your instructions inside and out. I ask questions when I have them and will always go above and beyond to make sure your dog stays happy and healthy while you are away.
