Pet care experience
Pets have been part of our family for as long as we remember: dogs, cats, birds, turtles... 10 years ago I rescued a Maltese and through him I learnt the power of positive training with dogs. Charles lives with my parents in Vancouver, Canada. We are a family of 4, with a Mamma, and a Pappa, our Golden doodle - Romeo (2.5yrs) and a 1.5yr old baby girl. Romeo is an extremely energetic dog so along with play-time in a yard, we go for daily walks (your pup will be part of all these play times). We also do trick training while in doors to engage Romeo mental, and this will be part of your pups stay. I'm also a beginning photographer, so you'll expect some great photo-framing pictures from me while during their stay. We'd love to host a dog either on a daily basis or a night(s); just as we like to meet new people, make new friends, learn from new experiences we feel pets should too and so this gives us the opportunity to open our doors to new dogs while giving Romeos' the opportunity to make new friends AND keep your puppy busy while you're away. I currently do not work so there will be someone in the house at all times to ensure a safe environment. We are dedicated to keeping your and our puppy safe, health and happy while in our care. I am also currently working on obtaining my Pet CPR.

Bella had an amazing time staying with Nadia and Romeo. She came back everyday happy and exhausted! Nadia would send me picture updates throughout the day so I could see all the fun Bella was having. Bella and Romeo got along so well. I know she is going to be missing her new buddy.

Dogs temperament is a huge focus for us, we'd love to host a pup whos' particularly ok with children as our little one year old loves Dogs and we'd like it to be a positive experience for both Pup and Baby.
A typical day
We have a huge fenced yard, and in the summer time we open up the pool. We go for walks twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. We live a few miles from Lake Johnson so we can head there too - depending on your dogs needs. Your dog's sleeping arrangement We have a pen and a dog bed but you are more than welcome to bring a crate or anything extra your dog would want to sleep on. If your dog likes to cuddle we're ok with that but we have a strict rule of no dogs on the bed or furniture (we enforce it with our dog so we'd like to keep that). As mentioned: I am home all day so not only will your dog get all the attention, he/she will get regular potty breaks and play time.
