Hello. My name is Nadia. I grew up in Eastern Europe where animals were big part of people's lives in the villages- from the donkey, cow, horse and sheep, goose and chicken, pigs and goats to the city pets in the big city. I have been around dogs and cats throughout my whole life. I begged my mom and dad when I was little to have pets and we ended up having 2 dogs ( English setters) who grew old in our house and are still part of our family memories and conversations. We took the dogs everywhere with us- camping, fishing, to family vacations and even work, since my mom worked outside on a swimming pool. We raised the dogs from puppies and potty trained them ourselves , taught them how to walk on-leash and behave in public transportation and how to wait outside stores while we did chores and shopping. I especially loved our second English setter- Star. He was the most gentleman like dog I have seen- so very smart and deep soul, tactful, well behaved and loving- the perfect companion to learn from. When I moved to the USA I adopted a 15 year old cat as her owner didn't want her any more. I wanted the cat to have her final years in peace and comfort. It seems she loved the change as she ended up staying with our family for 5 extra years on the top of her old age to pass away in good health from old age with our family around her in her last hours. Mission completed! As a pet care taker I would like to continue to be part of that experience -taking care of pets -spending time with them, playing, learning from them, and simply having fun while helping.
