We are newlyweds who have an energetic 2-year old Australian Cattle Dog. We live in a townhouse very close to large parks (Lovelace Park and Howard Park). Our Dog, Patch, regularly goes for long outings in which he jogs with us, retrieves, and goes on long hikes. We'll be able to take your dog on these outings as well. We both are researchers at universities, which means we regularly can work from home. This means that your dog will not be alone for long periods of time. In terms of dog sitting, your dog will be able to play with Patch and enjoy the same lengthy outings Patch enjoys. On our end, we are also looking forward to Patch having a play-buddy throughout your dog's stay. We'll take any and all dogs. The best fit would obviously be energetic and active dogs who would be interested in mixing it up with Patch, but we have dog-sat all kinds of dogs before without issue and with much enjoyment. Our house is a townhome in Wilmette. There is a large unfenced area of grass next to our home where dogs can walk and play on-leash. For off-leash exercise, we usually take our dog out to nearby spacious and hilly parks where he can burn off some energy running around or playing with a frisbee/tennis ball. This is where we've also taken dogs we've watched and this is where we can take yours.
