Nabat is simply the best! She helped us out on short notice with Sam and Eli. Thanks again Nabat!

Nabat is a very nice and sweet girl. She was hired as a in-home sitter for 10 days while we were out of country. She sent us a few photos and updates occasionally. However, I think she is just young and too irresponsible to care for pets long term. She does not have a pet of her own so perhaps the lack of experience contributes to e issues we faced. We hoped she would care for our dog as her own but this was not the case. Many of our instructions and requirements which I asked her about in advance were not followed. Our dog was left numerous times for >6 hours at a time and left alone at night twice. Longest being almost 14 hours alone. I had specifically asked if she would be able to meet our requests (such as letting him out at least every 6 hours and not leaving him alone at night due to anxiety issues) beforehand to ensure there would be no problems or worries. We found him pacing and anxious by the front door at these times of extended periods when he was left alone, especially at night. This caused us a lot of stress and worry while on our HONEYMOON. We had to keep checking up on our dog and keeping tabs on whether she was actually doing her job. We ended up having to contact Rover Emergency customer service after he was left alone at night the second time and we were getting no responses from the sitter. Due to it raining a lot recently, I asked her to wipe his paws or use the paw washing cup we have by the entrance door if it’s really muddy out. As he is allowed on furniture and we don’t mind. I came home to mud paw prints on our cream rug in the living room and our comforter, where he often sleeps if we are out of town. So I know this request was also ignored. Overall though, the house was kept fairly clean though. Finally, I had asked her to always use the harness when walking him. And to walk him twice daily 30 mins/time. This is due to him pulling when the regular collar is used (we have broken previous collar and ID tag rings this way) and he chokes himself. There are also stray cats in the neighborhood. We have a alarm/camera system that showed this was also not followed. We came home to a broken collar and his ring/ID tags missing such as his rabies, night light etc. This I know is because she was hooking the leash directly to his collar instead of using the harness. He also was not getting 30 minute walks twice daily. Rover customer service is useless and is unable to truly help in Emergencies. We had to begin to reach out to the limited friends that we have in the area which we just moved to, to see if Anyone could go and take over for her. Rover finally reached out when there was only one night left. This makes me unlikely to use their services again after being a loyal customer for over 8 years in multiple states. It was disappointing to be stressed and worrying about our dog while we were on the other side of the world in a completely different time zone, nonetheless, on our honeymoon, which was ruined. We would have liked to enjoyed our vacation knowing he was in good hands with someone we could trust and not have to continue checking on. I would not recommend Nabat for any long term stays or care, but feel she would be better hired for simple services such as a dog walker. She is a very nice girl but I just think too young, immature/irresponsible to be caring for pets like her own.
