I am lucky to work as a freelance photo editor, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and lets me stay home during the day to snuggle with any dogs or cats that I am watching. I am able to do afternoon walks, frequent walk breaks, medication upkeep, or extended outside time. Overall, I work well adaptabing to your animal's schedule. :) I have a mellow presence and I feel like that does help with anxious dogs or those pandemic pups that are experiencing a weekend away from their owner for the first time. I have a range of experience with dogs of various breeds and ages and have cared for high-energy Australian Shepherds to nervous Italian greyhounds, and from puppy Golden Retrievers to 16-year-old Chihuahuas. I am also very familiar with caring for dogs that don't like other dogs. I do keep a keen eye out for upcoming dogs while on walks to avoid any conflict. I'm diligent about keeping an eye out for potty needs, sticking to a food schedule/regiment, and rewarding pups when they've been good. I hope to keep dogs as happy as they keep me, especially while their human is out of town. I like to think that I help your animals feel as comfortable and happy as I can while you are away. Working from "home", my schedule is easily flexible around walks, potty breaks, and trips to the dog park (if that's something your dog likes). Most of my day while dog sitting will revolve around your pet, as my daily routine is fairly fluid. I find that I tend to work better at night, so the daytime is extremely flexible for your dog's (or cat!) needs. While staying with your dog(s) while you are away I will keep up with all systems that you already have in place to keep your pup(s) is safe and secure. Veteran info, any security system setups, and or home safety tips are always helpful. I always leave the home in a tidy/clean condition after my stay.
