Pet care experience
*In June I’ll be moving to the Ames area for Vet School. I will not be accepting walks or drop-by visits in Ankeny after June 6th* I have experience in emergency Veterinary medicine through working at a emergency clinic in which I know cpr, clinical signs, as well giving medications. I have obtain my bachelors in animal science through Iowa state. I have experience with exotics (yes they need sitters too sometimes). My comfortability for exotics are mostly with small mammals and reptiles. However I’m continuously learning and will help out with birds in the home. I currently have 3 chinchillas and a hedgehog in my home. They are housed in a separate room and when I have new animals staying at my home their door is always shut.

I would like to know if your loved one is on any medications or have any allergies. I have experience caring for animals post surgery and for animals that may need their bladder manually expressed.
A typical day
I love building a bond with the animals I watch. The first interaction is crucial to make this bond. This is why I typically request meeting outside of the home at first so they do not feel the need to protect their territory. Once we have our bond I love to interact and play games with them and introducing fun cheap enrichment to their environment and educating owners how to do that as well.
