I've lived around animals my entire life. I know that doesn't exactly mean I'm qualified to take care of your pet so let me explain- Since I was 10 my parents deemed me responsible enough to stay home alone and therefore take care of our 2 cats!! So from a young age I had the responsibility to feed them, clean the litter box, let them outside and make sure they came back in. I've also rescued 2 cats myself and one was a kitten and he is still with us today :) As I got older I've taken care of my family members' dogs as well. My aunt had a black lab that I stayed at her house to take care of, my cousins had chihuahuas that would spend a week at my house when they went away and a close friend had a leonberger that I would take care of as well over the course of 10 years. Because my house had cats I never got a dog but helping friends and family allowed me to have a lot of different dogs that I love!!! I've owned a horse for over 10 years, when I wasn't riding I was booking vet appointments, walking miles on end along the trails next to him, etc. There were many cats and dogs and goats at the barn where I kept my horse where I had to take care of them sometimes as well.
