Kennel Tech Experience for your Pet
Pet care experience
I’ve been a kennel tech in animal rescue for around 5 years now, however I’ve been volunteering since I was in high school. I’ve also almost always had a dog or cat in my life and started helping to care for them when I was a teen. I love taking care of them and have accumulated so many pictures, my last phone ran out of space. I have experience with giving medication in pill or liquid form, bathing animals, and caring for animals with disorders.
Reviews
Another amazing stay with our two dogs! They absolutely love Morgan and were relaxed when we arrived home. Morgan does above and beyond by cleaning and washing her bedding.
My little guy does not warm up quickly but Morgan was great with him! She sent lots of pictures and videos for the week I was gone and I felt like he was well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend Morgan!
Morgan is a very capable and professional dog and house sitter. My dogs love her. She is thoughtful, patient, and kind. She took up lots of time w the pets and followed instructions. Will book w Morgan again.
Morgan did a great job. She spent a lot of cuddle time with my dogs! Will book again, no question.
About Morgan H.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I feel that, like people, animals tend to feel more comfortable in their own environments and (if they have them) on their usual schedules. Even if dogs are out on walks, it’s in a place that they’re familiar and happy with. The only way I’d be changing this is by giving them a new friend to do it with. While I am good with dogs, cats are my speciality. At the rescue, I work with feral cats and give my opinion on who can be put into the foster, barn cat, or TNR program. I understand body language, who needs to be left alone to get used to me and who is willing for me to linger a little longer.
Information Morgan H. would like to know about your pet
I need to know any triggers the animals might have and what settles them if it does happen. If their medications are on a strict schedule, so I can put in an alarm. Any type of schedule owners might have them so they can just pick up where we leave off when they come back (Feeding at so and so, play time at noon, etc) Favorite games and toys, what makes them happy and hyper?
A typical day
Most of the time, I just go along with what the pet wants. If they want to be a couch potato, I’ll let them. If they want to to play for a good bit, we’ll play until they get tired of it. If they want attention and loves all day…well, who doesn’t comply with that command?

Availability
Wednesdays and Fridays are my off days. All others, I usually get off before noon, so I’d be able to dedicate a good chunk of time if people need it.
