Hello! My name is Morgan and I'm offering dog walking services and drop-in visits for your pets in Hamilton. I'm experienced working with young dogs, large breeds, and dogs with behavioural issues. I train your dog while I walk them and also let them have some fun so that they come home tired and happy! I can pick up your dog from your home and explore your neighbourhood with them. I'll send you pictures of our walks and provide treats and poop bags myself. With high energy dogs I believe that both mental and physical stimulation are important to get them tired and happy, because a tired dog is a happy dog! On walks I focus not only on taking your dog the distance, but having them do things to work their brains such as tricks or exposing them to new things. Typically I'll walk them to different parks in your neighbourhood, going to a different park or area each time to keep it interesting for your dog. New sights and smells are important! I'll also work on door manners, loose-leash walking, sit and stay, or any tricks that you'd like for me to work on. With training I use a psychology-based and trauma-informed approach. I use the least intrusive, minimally aversive strategies needed meaning I use humane, force-free methods. I use clicker training, positive reinforcement, desensitization and counter-conditioning training. *Please note that my services are NOT a substitute for working with a professional dog trainer.*
