NOW OFFERING RUNNING!

Pet care experience

As an owner of three dogs myself, dog walking and sitting is more than just a job to me-- it's basically my calling. I love all dogs, big and small, young and old, rambunctious and lazy. Every dog has a unique personality and spirit that makes them one of a kind, and I can't wait to meet all the wacky characters the Memphis area has to offer! My Skills Include: - 10 + years experience with both large and small breeds. Whether a Pitbull or Yorkie, I've babysat (and have probably owned!) them all. - Experience with newborns and young puppies. I've witnessed and aided in puppy birth, and helped raise a litter of five sheltie pups (plus three other dogs!) with my family. - Incredible patience, gentleness, and attentiveness needed for "out of the box" dogs, such as hyperactive or skittish pups. - Friendly, outgoing nature, coupled with punctuality and professionalism, makes me both approachable and accountable. - Available for early morning walks or late night check ins-- whatever your dog needs! - Now offering runs! Just let me know if you'd like me to run with your pup, and we'll have a nice jog together! I usually do a mild run/walk pace with the walk intervals longer than the runs, but will adjust to your dogs fitness level.

Two words: BOOK HER! She's responsible, punctual, and well-mannered, and has a genuine love for dogs. She's also very approachable and easy to talk to, and is very attentive to whatever specific needs the dog has. Just an all around good person with a positive attitude and reliable work ethic.

Morgan is a kind, gentle, generous person with a genuine love for animals (dogs in particular). She has an incredible patience for high-energy or special needs dogs, because she has three rambunctious dogs herself. Your dogs will definitely be in good hands with her.

Information Morgan D. would like to know about your pet

If you could leave a note detailing your dog's triggers, allergies, preferences, or any other important details, that would be much appreciated! Does your dog have a favorite toy or past time? Should I crate your dog after our adventure? Are there any specific words/tactics you use when they misbehave? Are they diabetic, mentally challenged, or have any other special needs? Letting me know these things beforehand will take a playdate from great to stupendous!

A typical day

Whether its in your neighborhood or at a local park, you can count on me for making your dog's day. I live ten minutes away from pretty much anything in the Lakeland/Arlington area, which means Arlington Park, Lakeland City Hall Park, and I.H. Park are right at the tip of my fingers-- or your dog's paw's, I guess I should say! Now offering run/walk interval jogs upon request! FAQ: Q: What will our Meet and Greet look like? A: Whether I'm walking your dog or checking in, a Meet and Greet is the best way to see if I'm the right fit for you. I'll suggest a public place for us to meet up (usually the local park or your neighborhood), and we'll spend some time walking and talking about your marvelous pup! The purpose of a Meet and Greet is primarily about meeting and getting to know your dog, but it's a great time to ask me questions about the walk/check in and inform me of any information you consider important. And don't be scared to get picky or specific! Your dog is a part of your family, and I want to provide just as much love and care for them as you do. Q: What kind of exercise do you plan on giving my dog? A: Each dog receives 30 minutes of walking at a moderate pace, and each check in involves 30 minutes of feeding, watering, and playtime with toys. Q: Will other people help care for my dog? A: Currently, I am the only care taker involved, but if that changes I will inform you in our initial message. Q: Will you send photos or other updates? A: Thanks to the handy utilities Rover.com provides, I update my clients in a number of ways! We'll send you selfies all throughout the walk, starting with one as we begin and ending when we get home. You'll also receive any other important updates instantly, like if and when your pup uses the bathroom. Just check your Rover app! Q: What sort of leash will you be using? A: For small - medium dogs, I use a retractable leash, and will use a standard short leash for anything bigger. I also have a large harness available, but would prefer to use their own collar/harness for the dog's comfort and convenience. Q: Are you planning on offering treats or toys to my dog? A: Currently, I do not offer any toys or treats, but will inform you if this changes through our initial message. Q: What will you do to make sure my dog has fun while they’re with you? What games do you play? A: I ensure that our walks are friendly, fun, and safe, and drop ins always include special playtime with their favorite toys. My go to game is fetch, but if there's any activity your dog particularly loves (such as hiding treats for them to find throughout the house), let me know!
