Hi, I'm Morgan Christopher (one really long first name!) ! I taught dog training classes for almost 3 years at a local pet care store. I have experience caring for elderly (special needs) dogs as well as expertise with puppies who are still potty training and puppy biting. NOTE: I'm willing to dogsit more than one dog at a time if the dogs are from the same family or are used to being around one another. I'm also willing to take extra large breed dogs if they have a mild temperament. For multiple-pet families, I charge one price for the first dog and a lower price for any additional dogs. Please do message me if you have any questions! I have lots of flexibility with scheduling, and a personal desire to provide the best care for your dog. I'm a student, finishing up the last few semesters of my degrees, with a light course load. I have extra knowledge on potty training, crate training, basic obedience training, nutrition, basic grooming (nail clipping, tooth brushing, brushing, etc.), foods and ingredients dogs shouldn’t have, and leash walking. I also recognize that one size doesn't fit all dogs. I look forward to getting to know your dog and find out what he or she needs in a sitter or walker. ## Puppy care ## I have extensive knowledge about puppy care and dogs new to a family and use my training background to appropriately handle common problems. I have skills with discouraging puppy biting, potty training, crate training, jumping, improving loose leash walking, teaching a dog how to heel, and other commands. ## Training ## If you're looking for short private training sessions as a standalone service, message me and we can talk details. ## Senior / Special Needs Care ## I also spent 5 years caring for a special needs / elderly large breed dog, so I have personal experience with older or special needs dogs. She had separation anxiety, a fear of storms, temporary incontinence, and arthritis. I prepared and gave her medication, taught her new tricks (starting at age 11!), and helped her through the hard stuff. We spent a lot of time snuggling! I'm willing to take care of your dog like my own-- so if you have special requests, I anticipate that as part of the package (please don't be afraid to ask), and am willing to do my very best to accommodate them all. ## Cats ## I've had cats my whole life until a couple years ago, when my 12 year old baby, Smallcat, passed away. I know Rover is primarily a dog-sitting service, but I also take care of cat furbabies! I don't currently have any other pets, so your dog (or cat) is my top priority. (Both my previous cat and dog were seniors and passed away within the past few years.) This works especially well for Boarding & Doggy Day Care for dogs that don't get along with other animals or dogs that do better with a quiet environment and 1-on-1 attention. Keeping your dog in my home or me House Sitting in yours is often less stressful on your pup than boarding at a facility in many cases, and often less expensive. Keep in mind that the rates offered on Rover don't fit all situations perfectly. Some situations deserve a higher or lower cost for the time and amount of care given to your dog (or cat!).
