Work @ home, fenced yard, Wolfpack

Pet care experience

I am a four year DC resident of Capitol Hill. Flexible work from home schedule, so I am available to care, nurture, and walk your dog as needed while they are staying in my home. I live in a cozy basement apartment with my girlfriend Kristen, a fellow dog lover and pamperer. We have a small fenced in front yard which is perfect for people and dog watching, chilling on the stoop, and quick potty breaks. We are located near 10th and F, which is a quick jaunt from Lincoln Park, Stanton Park, the National Mall, and the Kingsman Dog Park. A little about me - I'm a lover of the outdoors - hiking, fly fishing, backpacking and moved to DC 4 years ago for work. I have owned and worked with dogs my whole life. I have experience professionally dog walking and pet sitting in DC, Montana, and Vermont. Last year I lost my 8 year old Alaskan Malamute, Willow, to cancer. Before her passing we explored every street, dog and regular park around DC and Capitol Hill. Collectively we loved the dog park, long walks around Capitol Hill, and sitting in front of the house watching people pass by. As life works out, Kristen and I adopted a new little Malamute, Fera in the early spring, and she's the best little urban wolfie on in the Atlas District. Happy, kind, loves to play and explore and stops and sniffs every person, bird and puppy she greets. As corny as it is, life is truly better with a dog. I adore the companionship that a doggo brings, and your canine will be welcomed into our home, with open paws, and ready for a Capitol Hill urban adventure.

Appreciate Morgan’s responsiveness! He is accommodating with our drop in dog walking needs and keeps us well apprised of our dog’s mood and walk activity with photos and informative commentary.

Thank you, Morgan and Fera for hosting Kinnick! My first time using Rover.com and Morgan made it easy - communicated well, sent pics while I was at work, and took good care of Kinnick (who was wonderfully exhausted when we got home)!

Morgan is our go-to guy to take care of Huey as we travel quite often. He is attentive and caring towards our fluffy ball of energy. Huey sleeps for days whenever he comes home after all the play and walks with Morgan :)

This was my first experience with Rover. Morgan was helpful in making sure the services we were looking for lined up with what he was available to provide. He was communicative throughout the whole process from booking to the descriptive Rover card updates. It worked out well for us and recommendation Morgan!

Information Morgan C. would like to know about your pet

It's always helpful to know the following: Schedule, quirks/habits, commands, type of leash, sensitivities/meds, does you pup get along well with other dogs?

A typical day

General daily care schedule: 1 mile walk in the morning, typically 6-8am 20 minute walk mid day, typically 11am-1pm. 1-2 mile walk/dog park visit in the late afternoon-evening, typically 4-6pm. - I'm a 10 minute walk to Kingsman Dog Park, 15 minutes to Lincoln Park. This is helpful for dogs who are looking for additional dog party time, and general afternoon and evening romping and playing. -Instead of the dog park, long and extended walks available for dogs who perhaps don't cherish company of other dogs as much, and prefer quality one on one time. 20 minute walk before bed typically 8-10pm. Aside from walks, a day in our home includes the following: Cuddling, petting, playing, endless chilling and naps, hide and seek, and general shenanigans. By no means are we set to this exact schedule, as events and playtime can change with the weather. Looking forward to meeting your furry one! Morgan & Kristen
