Pet care experience
I am an avid animal lover and will treat your pet like my family. I have lived with dogs continuously since the age of 5 and currently have one small dog of my own. I have raised dogs from 6 weeks old through to their day crossing the rainbow bridge, so I am experienced with dogs of all ages and have no qualms about caring for a puppy who needs extra trips outside or a senior dog who requires medication or extra gentle care. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and I enjoy a trip to the park or a car ride around town with the windows open. Currently, I have a Terrier mix rescue who is full of energy and loves a good, long walk around Cullowhee Valley School in the evenings. I am also familiar with and comfortable with cats, although I have not raised any of my own. I am perfectly happy caring for your cat overnight or visiting your home for drop-in visits to check on them, play with them, clean a litter box and freshen up their food and water. Morgan was great with our chihuahua, Luna! This was my first time using Rover so I was a little nervous. Morgan did two meet and greets with Luna before staying at our home, which was so nice and helpful. Morgan stayed in our home for 5 nights and was very respectful to our home/things. She’s definitely trustworthy and great with doggos. You can tell she truly loves animals! We already have Morgan booked to stay with our pup in September! Highly recommend!

While I do not care for your pets in my own home, I am comfortable caring for your pet in their own home so they may be more comfortable and less anxious. I will always leave your home as I have found it and have no problem executing any special requests you have of me while I am in your home.

If your dog has any specific health conditions that I need to be aware of, I would need to be informed ahead of time in case there are medications I need to distribute. I find it important to know if there are any certain actions which may cause your pet anxiety or upset your pet so I can avoid those.
A typical day
Depending on your dog’s age and activity levels, we may go on a rather long walk around town to enjoy all the smells of the neighborhood and get as much exercise as possible. If you have a specific park or location you like to take your dog for an adventure and feel comfortable with your dog riding in my vehicle, I am always happy to take your dog(s) for a fun car ride. If you have a more senior dog who needs rest and brain stimulation instead, we can spend the day playing around the house.
