I grew up in a home with at least 4 dogs and 2 cats at all times. All of my pets are rescues with special needs, whether mental, physical, or both. My samoyed was found at a flea market covered in ticks, about to be put down. She now has diabetes. My Jack Russel mix was thrown out of a moving car, and suffers from anxiety. My husky was a runt saved from a puppy mill- all her siblings died shortly after from a kennel disease. The newest addition is a high energy German Shepherd. Two of my dogs are in doggy heaven- a very old St Bernard and a blind/deaf pomeranian mix. No matter the age, needs, size, breed or personality, I can handle it.
