Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Monique. First and foremost, I approach dog care with respect in mind. For pet parents, building trust and creating a comfortable rapport has always seemed important to me and works to soothe dogs who may be anxious or may have a varied past. I believe in keeping to the schedules each individual dog needs in order to keep them happy and healthy! While in my care, I provide a clean and cozy environment removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown centers while keeping close to dog-friendly beaches and parks. While with me, visiting dogs will hopefully experience a nice change of scenery. I like to take the time to get to know the relationship one may have with their dog rather than treating the human and the dog separately, and I would hope you would allow me to get to know you both!

Monique did a wonderful job with my dog, Bane. She walked him every weekday while I was at work for a few weeks. She followed all of my instructions and gave him the exercise he needed. I could tell that Bane looked forward to her visits each day and enjoyed the walks he got to take with her. My dog is leash aggressive towards other dogs, but Monique carefully watched him and made him calm down anytime they came across another dog on their walks.
My husky, Logan, is high energy and it's difficult to find a care taker who can match her. Monique came over a couple of days before I went out of town to get acquainted with Logan and I was convinced that she understood Logan's wants--to be at the doggy park. After I came back from my trip i was thrilled to see that Logan was not stressed out or shreding my furniture :) i would definitely recommend her to anyone! ?
Did a great job take care of my dog.Fed her,walked her,made sure she was ok,got along great with her too. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Monique spent a week with the special personality that is Woody, my Pomeranian. Monique was very caring and spent the time to get to know me and why I care for Woody in the ways that I do since I was planning to be away for a week. From the beginning, I could feel that Monique cared and looked at this job as more than some spare cash. She's funny and easy to talk to me, and while Woody is very protective of me he eased into having her company super quickly. I was at ease and when I saw Woody again, I could tell he had a good time :) Thank you!

I have had a variety of experience with dogs who come from a variety of backgrounds. But, I believe the most important things to know about a dog before sitting them centers on their familiarity with diverse and multi-cultural groups and individuals. I believe dogs enjoy a certain amount of structure; therefore, I typically like to communicate with the owner about their dog's daily affairs, who they see, and who they interact with on a daily basis so as to not shock the dog further while its finding its safe space in my home.
A typical day
Currently, I live in a residential neighborhood with tree lined streets as well as well-kept park a few blocks away that make for great long walks. I have an active lifestyle with scheduled workouts throughout the week. During pet-stays, I like to incorporate some time spent outdoors exercising with my guest. For example, I like to combine games of fetch with my bodyweight training routines.
