Pet care experience
I have been a veterinary technician for 10 years so I'm quite skilled in administering medications and treatments needed as well as monitoring your pet's health. I am also a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College and a Fear Free Certified Professional. I am currently taking online classes with Penn Foster to obtain my veterinary technician degree and to become licensed. I'm also working for a veterinary staffing company as a relief technician so my hours are extremely flexible and open. Most of my experience is with dogs and cats but I'm comfortable with small pocket pets, reptiles, birds, and large animals such as horses and goats. I currently live on a farm with chickens, horses, goats, donkeys, rabbit and peacocks so I'm no stranger to farm life! Please feel free to contact me with any further questions!

Monique is the best of the best. She’s knowledable, caring and kind. She will love on your animals while you’re away from home. She is a trained behaviorist, a wonderful vet tech and just down right AMAZING!! Your fur babes will be lucky to have her!
All I can say is if you don't use Monique your missing out! She will treat your pet just like her own. I have known her for 18yrs and I can't even think of one time that she ever wavered on her love for animals or how she treats them. I don't even go to a vets office that she does not recommend and if I have a choice I drive to the office she works at, I currently drive an hour to take my dog to be seen at a clinic she recommends.
I have never met anyone more compassionate about animals than Monique. She has a huge heart and truly cares about all pets and treats them all as if they were her own. Not only that but she is highly trained in the veterinary field and fully knowledgeable about the common ailments of dogs and cats and knows how and when to treat them from home versus when to consult a veterinarian. I trust her completely with my pets and wouldn’t choose anyone else to watch my fur babies.

I have no breed preference, I think they're all amazing. I do like to know what they normally enjoy. Do they play ball, fetch a Frisbee, tug-o-war? Also I do like to know if they have any dietary restrictions in the event that a short training session is requested. I am a science based trainer so no harm (mental or physical) will ever come to any pet in my care. I also like to know if there are any medical conditions that I need to watch for.
A typical day
I try and keep things as normal as possible for dogs. They are creatures of habit. Wherever you normally walk is where I'll take them. I can also do short basic training sessions to either teach or strengthen basic cues like sit, down, etc. I am a firm believer that a dog's mental health is just as equally important as their physical health!
