I sometimes love dogs more then humans because dogs are pure honesty. If you are nice and friendly to a dog, it responds with the same openness, if you are weak and vulnerable, it will leave you alone or try to comfort you, and if you are a threat, it will protect itself. Yet with humans, you never know what the response will be and when a human "bites" you. In this sense, I'm more of a dog personality. I'm very loving and kind but firm. This approach works perfect and I have never got into unmanageable situation with a dog, which I think is very important when looking after a dog that is not my own. My only weakness is that I can't resist big sad eyes of a dog that wants to sleep in my bed.... which leaves my boyfriend often sleeping on a sofa. I like to involve my doggos "clients" in my everyday life and make it fun for them. I do not call it doggy's retreat by chance as I like to think of myself as a summer camp! So we may drive to the beach, to the park, we can hang out in the harbour, have picnic with friends etc. I love taking pictures too so you will always know what is going on. In fact, you might even block me because I send too many of them. My sambo's 4-years-old daughter stays with us most of the weekends. She LOVES dogs and call them her best friends. She quickly becomes our dog clients' favourite, which makes us only a little bit jealous. For any weekend boarding it is thus important to consider whether your doggy is children friendly and can deal with a lot of attention.
