Pet care experience
I absolutely love dogs! When I visit friends and family, the dogs are usually the first I greet to be honest. I grew up with a German Shepherd for 12 years so I have experience taking care of larger dogs (and a soft spot for GSD's). Through Rover, I've had the pleasure of taking care of various types of dogs from a little Golden Retriever puppy to a German Shepherd. I have also spent some time volunteering as a dog walker at PAWS animal shelter in the past. One iconic dog care experience I had was while taking care of a high energy Malinois named Charlie! At one point, I had to take Charlie on a hike and play ball with him three times IN ONE DAY to get him to calm down but it was fun! I'm willing to put in the energy to cater to your dogs needs. Even though this website is catered towards dogs, I'm also very willing to take care of cats. I have two I semi-regularly post about on Instagram @graceandthelittleprince. I am unable to take in stays at this time. If a dog is not prone to being aggressive, I can provide simple medical care such as administering oral medication but I do not have professional training. I look forward to meeting you and your dog (or cat)!

Monica was really great!! My German Shepard needed a good walk and I was unable do to an ankle injury. My girl seemed to have a good walk as she snuggled up after and is napping as I write this.
My kitty loved Monica right away! She was wonderful at sending pictures at each visit and really made me feel good about the care he was getting. She got my old kitty to play and gave lots of cuddles, which is exactly what he needs while I am away. He eats small portions, and she was able to feed him exactly the way he likes, with cookie on top! I would absolutely recommend Monica for all your pet sitter needs. Monica saved our trip and allowed us to enjoy our wedding. After having a sitter bail last minute, Monica not only stepped up but also went above and beyond. She took EXCELLENT care of our two ladies, made sure everything was done correctly, and also paid very close attention to details. Monica was wonderfully caring with Angel who is just a pup. She had recommendations on switching to a harness which is a very good idea for small dogs. This was just a short stint but would definitely hire again in the future. Thanks

I talk with clients to meet each individual dogs needs! Things like whether they have a crate for the night, how often they need to be fed, how much they need to exercise, preferred walking routes etc. For walks, I am in good condition so I can provide a lot of exercise for high energy dogs!

I would like to know the dog's temperament, any techniques that help your dog behave (specific commands, treats, etc.), whether your dog needs medication administered. For house stays, how often the dog needs to go on walks/be let out. I would like to know the number to the vet as well in case of an emergency.
A typical day
As a dog walker, I'm willing to take your pets to any nearby parks by your house! Aside from that, it depends on the owner's preferences. For drop-in's, I can either take the dog on a walk or play with them using any favorite toys! And of course, all pets get lots of love and attention from me!

Availability
I am currently available anytime for dog walking and drop-ins (including for cats)! If you have smaller pets you would like taken care of (hamsters, hedgehogs, etc.) you can message me to negotiate the price. Please note: I will be gone most of July and August so I cannot take on long-term dog walking bookings at this time. Short term drop-ins and walks only!
