Hey friends! I have dedicated most of my life to animals and have been working in the field for over 10 years. I love all kinds of dogs, cats and critters. Reptiles are great too! I hold no discrimination to no animal or person. Because of my experience, I'm confident in my skills in determining if something is wrong. I also have veterinary friends just in case anything seems off about your pets. I, myself, have a sweet 10 year old cat named Blue, whom I adopted from my job and an energetic 1 year old named Pawlie. I'm an active, driven, and creative human with a big heart and excellent communication skills. My supervisors at work will say that I know how to stay out of trouble and keep it drama free, while my personal friends say I'm nurturing and silly. I have worked at the ASPCA and understand animal behavior as well as love for pitty and bully breeds. My skills include nail trims, ear cleanings, medical treatments such as subcutaneous fluids, insulin injections, oral and topical applications, you name it. I have been pet and house sitting for over 7 years and can offer references upon request. I'm also mobile and have my own car. I have no problem with having your pet in my car for an adventure or errands. I love my job and caring for animals, and I hope to give your pet the best care I can give.

I left my sweet little Dobby with Monica and she eased all worries that I had of leaving him. Dobby loves her and her cats. She sent me plenty of pictures and took great care of him.
Before, the hardest part of going away was checking the cameras and seeing my dog hanging out by himself so lonely ... Now, when Monica cares for my pets, I am able to relax and enjoy my time away knowing they will be well cared for and will get plenty of attention. I am very appreciative.
Monica is the best! She watched our three dogs and was incredibly attentive to them. One of our dogs is diabetic and Monica was able to provide her with her insulin. She asked for clarifying details when she needed them, sent us updates and photos that helped reassure us while we were away. We are so grateful to Monica for her attention and care!
Monica was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond with our pets. She kept us up to date multiple times throughout the day and let us know of anything that could potentially be cause for concern, which was great because one of our dogs is recovering from surgery. She was a joy to work with and we look forward to working with her again in the future. I truly cannot recommend her highly enough!

I'm very detailed and love following instructions. If you have a specific way in which you walk or feed your pets, I will be as if you were never away. In terms of home care, I would treat your home how I would want someone to treat mine, with respect. Things to know about boarding in my home: I have hardwood flooring, so pups that have difficulty walking or need traction may not have a great time here. I have 2 cats who are familiar with dogs. The youngest one will actually play with them, while the older one typically stays out of the way and will coexist. Although I live in an apartment, I live on the ground floor with direct access outside through a patio. The only set of stairs are from the front of the building down about 6 steps to my apartment door.

I understand not one pet is the same. Please let me know if your pet is uncomfortable on car rides, has strong feelings about rain or storms, likes to eat socks or underwear, prefers their food to be garnished with parmesan cheese, or anything that is unique towards them.
A typical day
It depends what your pup likes to do and how much energy they have. I'm willing to go to parks for playtime as well as lounge on the couch and snuggle to watch movies.

Availability
I currently work at an animal hospital 3-4 days a week doing 12 hour shifts, but have no fear, I can bring your pet along so they don't have to be home alone for so long.
