Hi there! I’m Monic, your friendly neighborhood NAPPS Certified Professional Pet Sitter and dog walker. After a short break, I’m happy to announce I’m back on Rover! Right now I’m offering dog walking and check/ins. Last minute? No problem! Holidays? I gotcha covered! I care for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and other small caged or exotic pets. 🐾 —- ABOUT ME —- Over the past 15+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with rescues and interact with pets of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments. I have experience and training related to general pet health and care, feeding, correct handling, first aid and CPR, and administering medications. Additionally, I'm a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). More importantly, I’ve raised three foster pets (1 cat and 2 dogs) of my own into three little lovebugs. They're my babies and I’d absolutely treat yours as my own - expect lots of photos, belly rubs, and treats! —- MEET & GREETS —- Meet & Greets are complimentary before your first booking, however if second M&G or visit without care is needed, a small fee will apply for compensation of travel and/or time.

Monic was wonderful with our cats! Extremely communicative and thorough with her visits, including lots of cute pictures. She kept a careful eye out for any problems with our cat with health issues and gave us detailed reports. She even had our more anxious/shy cat warmed up for play time and pets over the course of their visits. Monic took great care of our cats, and I would gladly book again!
Monic was fantastic! Very attentive and thorough with our Vala's care. She went the extra mile to ensure Vala was safe, happy and super comfortable. Lots of pictures and updates- our pup can be anxious + high strung but it's clear she was having a great time at Monic's! Will definitely be back and would highly recommend! :)
Monic is very compassionate and knowledgeable about dogs. She was available at short notice and took great care of my little Trixie. She kept me updated with pictures and messages during Trixie’s stay. She gave her medicine as instructed. Thanks Monic!

—- WALKS —- Walks are my favorite ways to spend time with dogs. :) I'm very comfortable with challenging dogs, adverse weather, and teaching basic obedience commands. **For recurring walks, please note that I ask for a 2-hour time frame in which you would be comfortable with your dog(s) going out for their walk.** —- HOUSE SITTING & DROP-IN VISITS —- Many clients have trusted me with their home and pets. I take my job and your trust very seriously, so I'm conscientious and proactive to ensure the safety of both your pets and home. You'll always return home to a clean space and a happy cat or dog. **To ensure the happiness and safety of pets, I require a minimum of 2 visits per day for clients that will be traveling out of town (unless for cat care).** **Standard house sitting rate includes: overnight pet companionship (7pm-9am), 30-minute morning & evening walks, feeding, medication administration, litter box cleaning, general pet cleaning, newspaper/mail collection, trash/recycling, and potted indoor/outdoor plant care**

During or before our first meeting, I will go over a checklist regarding your pet's history such as any health issues to be aware of, their general routine, personality, preferred walking routes, location of their belongings, etc.
A typical day
I try to make walks as enriching as possible. We might take a new route, play (including scent games), and practice some commands all in the same walk! With cats, I do whatever they like. If they hang out on the floor, I’m right there with them. If they want to play and have all my attention, I’m on board. And if they need space, I understand.

Availability
Since I work from home with a flexible schedule, I can provide around-the-clock 24/7 care if needed. I believe that every pet is unique and there is no “one size fits all” as to walking and caring for them. Whether it be walking or sitting, I’m here to help! Keeping your four-legged love safe and happy is my number one goal. :)
