I’m an insured vet tech and have made in-home pet care my full time work. Working with animals, especially those with special needs and unique circumstances, is what I was born to do. With over 20 years of personal, professional, and in-between experience, I specialize in high-energy animals, geriatric care, multi-pet households, and the lovable "weirdos" that make our lives so interesting - and capturing the goofiest possible pictures of them! I love playing and joining in on zoomies with the active furbabies, and snuggling up with the quieter ones. In addition to working in veterinary medicine, I’ve worked/volunteered in a number of settings; from shelters to farms to high end boarding kennels to college courses. As a result, I'm well-versed in handling various special needs and conditions. I am pet first aid/CPR certified, as well as a Fear Free Certified Professional, so you can relax knowing your non-human companions are in good and loving hands! Your pets are cared for as if they're my own, but with the comforts of their own home and routines. I pay extra attention to things like brachycephalic dogs in the summer, tracheal sensitivities, and urinary habits of boy cats (if you know, you know!).

I can work comfortably with all breeds and am able to manage a wide variety of temperaments, but please let me know in advance of any triggers, allergies or quirks your pet may have. For example, if your pet is reactive, what are they reactive to? Do they have any particular routines or verbal commands?
A typical day
In your home/on your fenced property: Laser pointer chasing, fetch, or cuddling up on the couch, eye contact/focus games, basic leash manners, the odd trick or two (I love teaching high five!) In your neighborhood: Leashed walks/runs, plenty of time to stop and sniff things. If you have nearby trails, I'm happy to take them hiking on leash - minimum 60 minute visit required for hikes.

Availability
Pet care is my schedule! I am available 7 days a week and able to accommodate most requests. If I'm not available at your specific time, I can generally be available about an hour earlier or later. *New clients: 4 or more pets requires at least one visit of 60 minutes each day to ensure they each get the attention they need. Some visits may have an additional surcharge (such as injectable medication, high risk pets, visits outside of normal service hours, etc.), which is determined on a case-by-case basis. Mileage is charged for all visits, at the federal rate of 65 cents/hour and calculated from Putnam Park (rounded to the nearest dollar).
