My family rescued a Yorkie poo 4 years ago and shes was hard to love at first, very territorial. But we have taken her in as one of our own and she immediately had a place in our hearts. Also, my close friends all have dogs at school and we always take them to the dog park, and I live in a house that often fosters dogs. Recently, we drove 30 minutes to rescue an 8 week old puppy from an unsafe living environment and loved him until he was strong enough to be adopted. It is always sad to see the puppies leave, but so comforting knowing they are going to a loving home. As I am getting to enter the real world and plan on getting a dog of my own, I would love more experience caring for them.
