Pet care experience
We've both had dogs all our lives growing up and can't imagine not having them in our lives. Jim has trained all our dogs from puppy on. We both got an American Kennel Club certificate from a Canine Good Citizen class, enabling us to go to hospitals and senior homes. Our last pup was also in "Waggin' Tails" performing over 20 tricks for audiences. We are experienced with puppies, adults and seniors. We are used to special diets and giving pills, and love senior dogs that need special loving. We have a dog ramp should they need it, but our home is a ranch. We both enjoy walking, and have found great parks and paths for walking dogs! We're very conscious about safety when other dogs and humans approach and always pick up after. Since losing our sweet Bella boo this past year, we have decided to share our love with others' pups that need some time and attention and lots of spoiling!

I'm a neighbor that found out Mary and Jim were boarding dogs after I saw them walking around the neighborhood. I did not go through Rover but wanted to leave a review. I cannot say enough about how GREAT they treated my rescue, Houston. They dealt with so many of her "special" needs - her finicky eating, mixed up special medications 2x daily, walked her twice as much as I am able, let her play fetch/keepaway/hide and seek inside (it was cold out) and treated her like their own! They even gave Houston a cute report card, some doggy magnets, and a sturdy doggy bag for me to carry her things home in! I would be willing to pay double what they ask for the peace of mind they gave me. And it was so evident how much Houston loved her stay when I came to pick her up. She took to them better than my kids and their families. I feel very lucky to have found Mary and Jim. Thank you.
Our pooch had a great time! We enjoyed all of the photos and updates throughout her stay. We would love to have her visit MJ and Jim again.
Mary & Jim made us feel 100 percent comfortable leaving our pup w them. I truly appreciated all the pics and relaxed knowing that she was well cared for - thanks again!!
Awesome dog sitters. Mary and Jim provided text updates and pictures throughout the weekend and took good care of our pups. Lots of walks, playtime and cuddles. Would highly recommend !

Let me know your dogs habits so we can follow them as closely as we can, to help your dog feel comfortable and keep to their familiar routine. We'd like to know if they are scared of anything like other dogs, thunder storms, fireworks, loud noises in general so we can avoid those and comfort them. If your dog has special needs or is a senior, how can we best keep them comfortable and assist them with play, potty time, stairs, etc. We'd like to know the fun things too - like what kinds of toys they like best, what treats are acceptable, and what their favorite places are to sleep and feel safe!
A typical day
We live in a parkway area in a quiet neighborhood for dog walks and also have many favorite parks and paths that we've found if your dog is allowed for a ride in the car. We enjoy playing fetch or frisbee, and taking dogs swimming, or just laying around inside and spoiling your dog with belly rubs and sweet talk. We like playing hide and seek inside as well to get the dog a little active if the weather is not conducive to walks.

Availability
We are both retired, so have our days/nights open to walk, feed, play with, and spoil your pup! Most of the time we can be flexible with schedules. We only accept one client's pup at a time for day care and boarding. Since we no longer have a pet in our household, and only take one client's pup at a time, your dog will get 100% of our attention. We own a ranch with only one step in and out. We will be very respectful of your pet's needs and your preferences.
