Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm with my family before moving to Austin for school, and I also worked at a dog kennel for a time, so I have a lot of experience caring for dogs, cats, and a handful of animals in between!

Loved loved loved working with MJ! MJ stayed with my dog and cat for a weekend and was amazing! They came by our home a few weeks prior to meet the animals and see if it would be a good fit, which calmed my nerves. This was my first time suing a Rover, and MJ did not disappoint! Highly recommend working with MJ!!
MJ was fantastic and took great care of Ulua! They gave just the right amount of updates to make me feel confident that all was well :) We will definitely be booking them again!
MJ is an incredibly loving and responsible caregiver to pets! We had great experiences every time we worked with them, and were able to leave home with easy hearts knowing they were tending our animals. Our dog still gets excited every time she sees MJ. Five star pet care.
MJ is exceptionally responsible in caring for animals with both natural love and concern for them, and a wealth of veterinary knowledge that they have cultivated over years of being the primary care for our large breed dog and all of our many farm animals, from cows to chickens to cats. They especially love dogs and cats of all kinds and are quick to make canine friends wherever they go. They trained our dog with a firm but loving hand, even when we thought he was untrainable. He is missing his friend as much as I know MJ is missing animal companionship. MJ would be a wonderful dog walker or sitter for any pets.

In clients' homes I would want to do a walk through with the client and their pet to go over everything - where the pets' items are if any are needed for care, how well they walk/play, what the best way to interact with them is (such as if they're food motivated, toy motivated, or anything that they *don't* like, etc), and establish any potential trouble areas and the best way to manage them. :)

I'd like to know what engages them, whether they're highly food motivated or not, etc. as well as whether or not they have any food allergies/intolerances, or certain things that would make them nervous or agitated so that I can avoid those situations and keep them happy and engaged.
A typical day
I love coming up with stimulating games to play with dogs depending on what engages them best! If there are any nearby parks, I like to go there and explore quieter environments while getting to know a new pet I'm caring for. :)

I'm currently a student at UT-Austin with a few classes each day and also working a few shifts at a restaurant every week (primarily weekends), but outside of that I have some free time in between to walk dogs or do drop-in visits!
