Miru is an excellent dog sitter and I have complete faith in her ability to provide loving, responsible care to dogs of all sizes. Neither of my dogs are always easy to deal with (I have a typically high-strung herding breed and an extremely timid rescue pit mix) but she always treats them with the utmost patience, love, and kindness. She is reliably enthusiastic to spend time with the dogs, and is happy to see to their mental and physical needs.
Miru watched over my 7 month old beagle for about two weeks while I was on a business trip. She kept in contact while I was away. She updated me on my pup through email and pictures. I came back too see that my beagle had been groomed and kept happy and well fed. I totally recommend Miru to other dog lovers out there!

However, I understand that every dog is unique, and some may prefer to stay within the comfort of their own home and property. If you prefer that your dog remains within the bounds of your property during walks, I will happily respect your wishes. We can engage in fun activities such as playing fetch, practicing obedience commands, or simply exploring your backyard. I will ensure they receive the exercise and mental stimulation they need while keeping them within the familiar surroundings they are accustomed to. In addition to walks and outdoor adventures, I enjoy engaging dogs in interactive playtime. Whether it's tossing a ball, playing with their favorite toys, or engaging in mentally stimulating games, I will adapt to your dog's preferences and energy levels. I am always attentive to their cues and will create a safe and enjoyable environment for them to let loose and have fun. I am currently a student and research assistant at Virginia Tech, working remotely for the summer with great flexibility. This allows me to accommodate the needs of your pet effectively. I start my day early and typically finish around 8 PM, giving me ample time to devote to pet care throughout the day. If I am housesitting for you, I have the flexibility to provide frequent walks or bathroom breaks for your dog. They receive the appropriate level of physical activity based on their individual needs, whether it's a leisurely stroll or a longer walk. I prioritize your dog's well-being and understand the importance of regular bathroom breaks. If your dog is unable to walk more than once or twice a day, I will make sure to take them outside to relieve themselves as needed. I will never leave a dog home alone for more than four hours, and if you have a puppy, I will ensure they are not left alone for more than 2.5 hours at a time. If I need to step out for personal reasons, such as going to the gym or working at a café, I will always let you know in advance and make sure your dog's needs are taken care of. I will always provide updates and let you know if I need to step out for any reason. You can trust that I will be transparent about my schedule and ensure that your dog's well-being remains a top priority. My flexibility as a remote worker allows me to provide attentive care for your dog throughout the day.
