I got my first dog at the age of 12 and have loved dogs ever since. Currently owning a cat as my rental situation won’t allow another pet. I love both cats and dogs and surely enjoy taking care of yours. I have a way with dogs and have been complimented on my training with them. I believe in exercising the body and mind and rewarding with praise and/or treats (which I always have on hand). I’m patient, loving and enjoy pet cuddles and play time.

Mirjam was wonderful to work with! My husband and I used her to supplement our dog walks while he recovered from surgery for 2 months. She was consistent, reliable and friendly! She was great with our two 50lbs dogs. We would recommend her and absolutely use her again in the future 😊

Mirjam was great with my pup, she was flexible with timing and I really appreciate her good communication and updates after the walks. I do feel like my pup is in good hands when she is with mirjam and I know Eila looks forward to her visits.

I’d like to know what makes your dog tick. What does your dog absolutely love to do? What makes your dog the happiest? What does your dog despise and will not appreciate? How is the dog with other dogs? How is the dog with other people and/or kids? Are their any behaviours I need to be aware of? Does your dog have special needs? Is your dog allowed treats?
A typical day
I love to go for brisk walks to get energy out. Unless you have a slower moving dog, I’ll definitely adjust my pace to accomplish their needs. If the dog has great recall I’d love to take it to a park or field to let it run or play fetch. I’m close to Ben Lee Park and the Rutland Dog Park, but am open to any other dog park in your neighbourhood. Ellison Dog Park is wonderfully big.

I’m a single mom of 4 kids so my hours will be during their school time which leaves plenty of time to drop in and/or walk your pet. Note: I’m available between 9am and 2pm on regular school days!!
