At Camp Mimi we have one goal, which is to make your dog feel loved and part of our family while they are guests in our home. We only accept one pup at a time so we can give your dog lots of attention. Kennels can be cold and scary places. Having your pet stay in our very dog friendly home will put you at ease so you can enjoy your vacation. We accept lap dogs up to 30 pounds. Your pup will have a great time playing with our very friendly bichon. We offer two long walks a day, live in a smoke free home and are with our guests 24/7. My husband Jim and I consider ourselves experts with pets that are "head of household, four legged daughters or sons, king or princess"-our bichon holds the first title. We will accommodate any sleeping arrangements and food schedules. Hope you'll give us a try..woof

Another wonderful day for Sugar at Camp Mimi's! Sugar cries when we pull into Mimi's neighborhood knowing she's about to have an amazing day! With plenty of playing, resting, walking and snuggles, Sugar is one spoiled pup. Thanks again Mimi for taking such great care of her.
Lucy is a repeat customer and LOVES staying with Mimi (and Jim and Peppy, too!) We wouldn't think of using anyone else. She provides loving, diligent care, and Lucy (who is somewhat finicky) feels 100% at home at Mimi's. So thankful we found her!
I can't say enough positive about Mimi's care of our dog Roma. She is a wonderful host and would highly recommend her to everyone. She's loving, thoughtful & a great communicator, keeping us informed with photos of how & what Roma was doing throughout each day we were away.

Please tell me if your dog has any separation anxiety that I need to prepare for. Has your dog ever bitten a person or another dog? Is your dog afraid of anything-vacuum, thunder storms, fireworks? Is your dog neutered or spayed? Is your dog wearing up to date tags? Is your dog up to date on his shots? What type of flea and tick protection do you use? Is your dog house broken?
A typical day
I am always very careful when I have a guest dog in my home to treat him/her the same way I treat our dog. We all have the same playtime, walk time and treat time. Belly rubs abound and playing with toys is an ongoing game in our condo. Because we do not have the guest dog gated or crated they quickly become used to the way we do things and fall right in with our family style of living. They are allowed on the furniture and are always treated with kindness and soft speaking tones. I am easy going and love all dogs. I only accept one pup at a time. I don't keep dogs gated or crated. Guest pups will be treated just like my dog-with love and respect.
