I recently moved to Virginia from San Diego, CA in 2017. Virginia has been a pretty big change for my husband and I, but we have enjoyed making Virginia our home and a home for our pups. In fact, we purchased a home in Lakeridge with a large back yard for the dogs, which they absolutely love! I am currently working from home as a full-time student, but I have been working with animals in varying degrees for my whole life. I have experience as an assistant at an animal hospital so I am very familiar with administering medication, bandage changes, and senior care. Through my work I assist with caring for dogs and cats; however, I am very familiar with all sorts of animals and am open to pet sitting conventional as well as less conventional fur (or not so furry) friends. I have two dogs of my own: a 1 yr old male Australian Shepherd Mix named Loki and a 12 yr old female German Shepherd Mix named Glacier. Both are very friendly pups that love people and dogs. Both dogs also do well with cats. Before having your pup board with us, we would love to set up a meet and greet to see how the pups get along before the stay. If you want to have your cat board with us, we would LOVE it! We have a designated room for them to stay where they can feel safe and comfortable. We have fostered a few cats so the dogs are familiar with having feline friends in the home; however, we understand that it takes some time for cats to acclimate to new environments and want to make sure they are 100% comfortable before any introductions. While in my care, your pet will be treated as family, and I will do my very best to ensure that your pet has a great time while you are away. I am more than happy to adhere to your pet's daily routines including but not limited to eating schedules, potty breaks, and administering medication. I understand that your pet's care is important; thus, it is my top priority to provide the best care possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
