Your Pet's Needs are my Priority

Pet care experience

My family has been rescuing dogs since I was 7 and I'm 23 now! I recently left home and am trying to get my own apartment so I can be reunited with my own dog (a shorkie! Shih-tzu/Yorkie mix!) and continue to expand my services with something that brings me joy. I absolutely have no problem managing large households of dogs (we've had up to 11 dogs at once) and making sure all their unique medical, physical, and general needs are taken care of. All our dogs have been rescues, with the exception of our first, who was a store-bought Maltese. I've also dog-sat for friends with breeder-bought dogs and learned to appreciate their needs. I've even sat for cats! Not only do I have exposure to a variety of temperaments because of our rescues, I also know how to nurse for more delicate pets and pay them the attention they need! To be perfectly honest, if my mom weren't allergic to them, we probably would've had cats at home too! I've had first-hand experience with: - Malteses - Chihuahuas - West Highland White Terriers - Yorkshire Terriers - Shih Tzus - Pekingeses - Pitbulls (both of of the general blanket-term variety and Staffordshires) - Portuguese Water Dogs - Golden Retrievers - Rottweilers - Bulldogs - Mixed breeds of all sorts! What I don't know, I'm willing to learn in order to do what it takes to accommodate needs. I've grown to love ALL sorts of dogs over the years and I'd love to love yours too!

Mirely cares a great deal for not only her dogs, but all dogs. I would trust her to care for my dog any day of the week.

Information Mirely P. would like to know about your pet

Before I take care of your dog, I'd like to know: - Medical history (Most important!) - Temperament (Different answers in regards to how they respond to humans, other dogs, and other animals in general - I'd just like to know what to expect, nothing's really a deal-breaker) - Dietary needs - Schedule (when they wake up, when they get fed, when they get walked, if there's scheduled medication, special appointments, etc.) - Allergies - Favored toys - The extent of your dog's training (please be honest - I can handle an untrained dog, but I would rather know they have minimal training first) - Quirks Quirks include: - Does your dog get startled when touched in a certain spot or in a certain way? - Does your dog have weird habits? - Does your dog do things that might seem worrying but are actually harmless? - Does your dog self-harm? - Is there something fun your dog does? I have no breed preferences! I have more experience with some over others, but I also try to treat each dog as an individual and acknowledge their needs on a case-by-case basis.

A typical day

A dog that's under my care can expect to go on walks through the closest park with enough water to last us both and the assurance that they're with someone strong enough to carry a senior 56 lbs pitbull all the way home after he was weaker that day than usual. They can rest assured that I will cuddle with them if they want to be cuddled and rubbed and play with them until they're exhausted! (I can exhaust a Westie - anyone who knows one knows those dogs can go for HOURS)
