Pet care experience
Hey there! I have been a veterinary assistant for 7 years and am a veterinary ICU technician. I’m currently employed in Cornelius (I do not get lunch breaks) Tuesday-Friday 7am to 5pm. I medicate, walk, feed, and care for the animals recovering in the hospital and make sure they are as comfortable as possible. I can give medicine orally or subcutaneously as I am familiar with both. Ever since I was a child, I have always been around different types of pets and have loved them all. All of my pets are rescues and most of them have some sort of condition that needs special attention, so I am used to that as well. I currently have a physically disabled hound who is my whole world. I am very familiar with multiple types of pets such as dogs, cats, and exotics and the care they require.

Miranda did an excellent job with our pets! Our cat is usually slow to warm up to people, but took to Miranda immediately! I highly recommend Miranda as a pet/house sitter!
Perfect for us, she house sat and took care of the animals perfectly! Great communication!
Miranda was wonderful with our anxious dog! She house sat for us and reliably gave him his medicine 4x!! each day. She sent a perfect number of text and pic updates, letting us know she was enjoying our crazy pooch too! When we got home, the house was picked up and the dog was happy to see us but not crazy like he is when left alone. So grateful to have had Miranda this weekend!
Miranda was fantastic! She took great care of Guinness, and I felt very comfortable knowing she could handle his leash aggression. She took time to send lots of updates and photos. She took great care of our home and left it clean and tidy. Will definitely book her again!

That being said, when we book I’ll ask if your pet has any fears or anxieties (fireworks, other pets, cars) I need to be aware of, as well as what kind of environment you’re in like a fenced in backyard, walking routes, and schedule. That way we create as little stress as possible.

Let me know if there’s anything in particular I need to be aware of prior to the dates! This will be something we go over before booking. I’ll want to know where to take your pet in the event of an emergency, what kind of fears or anxieties they have and how you typically treat those anxieties whether they have a special spot in the house, need medications, and just a distraction.
A typical day
During the week I work from around 7am-5pm Tuesday-Friday and do not get lunch breaks, and I’m off on weekends. There’s no better start to a day then getting in some time with your kiddo before I head off to work!
