Pet care experience
Hello animal lovers! As a youngster, I used to go to my neighbor's homes and enthusiastically ask if I could "play" with their dogs, not having one of my own. With time, I ended up receiving several offers to walk my neighbor's pets and ultimately care for them when they were away on vacation. This love of mine for animals soon turned into multiple referrals for pet and house-sitting, which I did all throughout the 90's and early 2000's. At my hey-day I had approximately 13 regular clients that used my services. I have a slew of excellent references I can offer/provide to you, in order for you to gain confidence that I am reliable, trustworthy, and completely capable of taking care of the most discerning pet-lover's animals. To note: Dogs are my specialty, but I can certainly take care of other pets, as I have the experience with dogs, cats, small birds, chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, and the list goes on. I am sadly, once again "pet-less", and living back in the D.C. metro area where I originally grew my business. I am interested in establishing new clientele, and I miss having a pet-centric world. I just used Miranda for the first time and will definitely be booking her again. She was kind and patient with my special needs cat. She was extremely professional in planning the booking and I felt confident that she would follow my instructions. She even washed her sheets & towels - not necessary but appreciated. I have had many pet sitters over the past 20 years and I can say with certainty that Miranda is top notch.
Miranda just finished pet sitting at my house for the second long weekend in a row and has been wonderful. My puppy clearly bonded with her and was sad to watch her leave today (although hopefully was also happy to have me back home, lol). That might have had something to do with the fun toys Miranda brought to the second visit and also I'm sure with the several walks and play sessions they had. She sent updates with photos and videos, and shared observations about puppy's behavior toward my cats that were very helpful. Miranda also went the extra mile to connect me with a neighbor she ran into on walks with a similar size/age dog so now my puppy has a new friend. The cats were also well taken care of and appreciated Miranda's intervention when needed to keep the peace between species in the house. Overall, I'm very happy Miranda was able to come and take such good care of everyone!
HI FOLKS, WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE MIRANDA FOR OUR CAT-SITTING NEEDS: SHE IS COMPASSIONATE & RESPONSIBLE & EVEN TAKES TIME TO PLAY WITH OUR TWO SISTER CATS, WHO ARE VERY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER. SHE ALSO SEAMLESSLY KEPT US "IN THE LOOP" WHILE WE WERE AWAY, AS I HAD HOPED. WE WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO USE HER KIND HELP NEXT TIME WE NEED A CARING FRIEND FOR OUR "KIDS." FINDING HER WAS FINDING THE NEEDLE IN THE HAYSTACK!
Miranda was absolutely amazing! She watched my dog for a little over a week and I have absolutely no complaints. She is super punctual and honestly treated my dog as if he was her own. Whenever you texted her she always responded and did everything that I had asked her. In addition, I had asked Miranda super last minute to watch my dog for the amount of time that she did so was super grateful to her. I will definitely be using Miranda again. She is extremely trustworthy and great with pets!

I need to know specifically any limitations the dog has- i.e. any health issues, or "quirks" that your dog has so that I can tailor my care to the individual pet. I am comfortable with all sorts of breeds, no particular preference, as I've owned and cared for dogs from the toy category up to and including large breeds, dogs with disabilities, and puppies as well.
A typical day
I know that each dog has a unique personality, and has certain needs and requirements that must be met in order for them to be well cared for. I leave myself open to the suggestions/demands you need me to fulfill in order to keep YOU AND your pet BOTH satisfied while they are in my care. So bring it on-I'm up to the task. **I would like to add an additional pricing note: Rover fees are tabulated on a PER NIGHT basis, so please understand that should I be staying more than 24 hours with your pet (say you decide to have me arrive on a Monday at 9 a.m., and leave on Tuesday at 2 p.m. the following day, I would require additional funds beyond the $55.00 non-holiday rate I have posted. Because I would consider this stay to be more than 24 hours with your pet, I would pro-rate the additional time you are requiring me to be present with your pet and take care of them. I hope this makes sense, as I have this "set-up" with all my regular clients already. Thank you. Miranda
