I am a Yale undergraduate who has lived with many dogs all of my life. I worked as a research assistant at the Yale Canine Cognition Center for Laurie Santos studying dog behavior and theory of mind. This research required me to be certified in handling dogs and reading signals of discomfort, shyness, and aggressiveness. I have had a total of three dogs, and currently still have my 17 year old yorkie/shih tzu mix that is unfortunately going blind but still energetic nonetheless. Having a dog grow old alongside our family has taught me so much about the different responsibilities between raising a puppy versus a senior pet. Additionally, because George is now blind, I have experience in caring for dogs with disabilities. Finally, I am on the equestrian team, so I am very comfortable around all animals. I have a flexible schedule this year that will allow me to provide the full attention that your pupperino deserves. I will take them on walks, cuddle and watch tv, and provide treats.
