Currently I am a stay at home mom with my two boys, ages 6 and 8, and two dogs, ages 6 and 11. I have been an animal lover all my life. I grew up in the country with all kinds of animals such as dogs, cats, all kinds of birds, snakes, tarantulas and more. My dad gave me my own dog, a miniature pincher, when I was about 11 years old and from that point, I have been a dog person. I LOVE dogs, as well as other animals, and love to care for them. I have watched my brother and his wife's Italian greyhounds for as long as two weeks at a time while they were out of town and I very quickly became the favorite aunt. ☺️ About 2 years ago our neighbors got a lab puppy and since I can't resist such sweetness I gladly volunteered to care for Lucy while they were at work. I would go over twice a day, since she was pretty young, and take her potty, get her water and play until she was worn out. One of my mottos is, "A tired dog is a happy dog." I want to take good care of animals because it is good for them, not necessarily for me, but it is very rewarding!☺️ I am always the one doing all the dirty work that comes along with pets, but truly it's not that bad. Some of it is pretty similar to having kids! ☺️ I have always been an animal lover and love to care for them. Recently my brother's dogs would stay with us for as long as two weeks at a time while they were on vacation. I would also take my neighbor's lab puppy out to potty, get water and play. When my neighbors will be getting home late I do still, on occasion, let her out to play and potty. I do have two small dogs of my own who I do everything for from playing to even cleaning out their anal glands. Why I love dog sitting I have always loved all animals but when I was about 11 years old my dad gave me my own inside dog, a miniature pinscher, which turned me into a dog lover and convinced me I never want to be without a dog. I love every dog I meet and always try to pet or talk to each one, which may not always be a good idea :). I have never been without a dog and the longest I had a dog was for 14 years and she was my baby! She went through every single one of my major life events and it was like losing a child, and I had two kids at that time. I am always willing to help someone out with their dog and I have two sister-in-laws who rescue dogs so they have no fewer than five dogs at a time and I am always willing to help out when we are all together. I believe God blessed us truly when he created dogs, who love us unconditionally and can sense when we are upset, sad, or depressed and give us their warm bodies to help cheer us up. I want to care for dogs to help their well being more than my own. My experience administering medication Yes I am able to give medications. I have gotten some good tricks over the years on how to get a dog or cat to take oral medication. I have not actually injected a dog with medication but I feel after watching the veterinarian do it numerous times I could. I've even thought about giving my dogs' shots to them myself.
