Hey, y'all! My name is Mindy and I have been caring for pets for as long as I can remember. I left my job in women's recovery to become a full time pet caregiver in March 2020. I was in the Animal Care Club throughout high school, where I logged 100 volunteer hours a year at shelters and groomers. I have volunteered at the SPCA and Oregon Humane Society where I found my first cat, Sir Lexington. I studied Animal Behavior and Biology for years, before switching my major to earn a business degree, after deciding I want to pursue pet care as a career. I've fostered many dogs through many rescues, from puppies to hospice stage, which is how I found my best friend, Swamp! He was an emergency Christmas Eve foster who was in really bad shape, so I just couldn't let him go after I got him back on his feet. Swamp is a medium sized Jackabee with low energy for the breed. He gets along with all cats and dogs, is very laid back, and updated on all vaccinations and flea prevention. I have no problem with the most difficult of animals and I do have some experience with training. I know its hard to find someone to help when your little friend is protective or anxious, but I will do everything I can to make them comfortable in my home or yours. Swamp and I live right on the Greenway! The apartment is small, but there is a gated yard and it's less than a block from parks and fields. We are close to the bayou and our neighbors have friendly pups to play with too! I love to take everyone over to Crescent Bark when the weather is nice in my dog friendly SUV (doggy seatbelts, gap cover, and even Dogs On Board magnet just in case). My apartment has its own small outdoor space for your fur baby to hang out in the sun whenever they want. My schedule is very flexible and I love to house sit as well. It is my belief that you should always leave a home cleaner than you found it. :) I offer more in-depth housekeeping, doggy baths, and transport in my doggy proofed car for an additional fee. I can't wait to meet all of your fur babies! I work in pet care full time, 7 days a week! :) This is my only job and I can work with your schedule however you need.
