The only breeds I will not host are Akitas, Shar Peis and Pitties. Aggressive dogs will most likely not do well with us here, as well. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies, please do not contact us. Please forgive me as I restate the obvious. If your dog has ANY aggression towards other dogs, please do not contact us. I do not want to waste your time, and I certainly do not want to waste my time. Dogs that are high energy and over-excited will not be a good fit for us. Dogs that are not well trained, i.e. jump up on people, pull on their leash, and are poorly trained will not do well with us. PLEASE tell me ahead of time if your dog has any preferences...For example...How do they handle thunderstorms? Do they like to chew on soft pillows? Do they urinate when they are nervous? Do your dogs come when called? (This is a BIG one!) Please let me know if they do not obey a basic command such as "Come." Does your dog occasionally have seizures? Does your dog distrust people? Does your dog: "Take some time to warm up to others?" If so, they will not be a good fit for us. Is your dog an incessant barker? Does your dog like to dig? Is your large dog a "counter surfer?" These are things that are rather important for me to know. Crazy questions, I know! However, each and every one of those questions was once a dog in my home, with the exact actions I am asking about. You will be responsible for providing food for your dog for the entire time they are with us. In addition, if they require medication, you will also need to provide the sufficient amount the dog needs while in our care. There will be a $75.00 service charge if Mindy needs to pick up medication and/or food for your dog while with us. (Crazy to even mention this, but I have had it happen!) This is my private space and I am more than willing to host your dog. However, if they have habits or behaviors that would be beneficial for me to know, it is your job to disclose that information. That would be incredibly helpful, to allow your dog to have the most stress free time with us. That being said, any property damage resulting from your dog's behavior will be your responsibility. I do my utmost to keep your furry family member happy, content and tired! In all my years of pet sitting, the times when damage occurs is practically nil. The more I know what your dog's needs are, the better I can meet them. When you schedule your dog to be dropped off, I try to spend time with them immediately to acclimate them to their new surroundings. Therefore, if we settle on a drop off time, and you are more than 15 minutes late, there will be a $50.00 fee. (Barring acts of God, of course.) You most likely have a very busy life, as do I. However, it is my job to see that your dog settles in well, and spending time with him/her right away assures that. I take the job of watching your furry family member seriously, therefore, please respect our drop off and pick up times. Finally, a reminder that I do not host intact dogs. Also, your dog needs to be able to handle a flight of stairs. Thank you!!

The dogs have free run of a secure fenced in yard. They can view, but are not with, farm animals. They can observe birds and horses from the safety of their well fenced in area. IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to all my repeat bookings, as soon as you are aware you are going out of town, PLEASE BOOK ASAP! During holidays, I am finding myself filled to capacity, and I would hate to say "no" to your dog, due to no availability! PLEASE DO NOT contact me within 48 hours of a holiday. I will NOT be able to host your dog, My schedule with my clients fills weeks before holidays.
