* TO MY AMAZING CLIENTS, I am still taking some sitting/boardings but for no longer than 3 days at a time. This is temporary, as I need to be available to care of my grandfather through his last years. I look forward to any time I get with your dogs, they are a light in my life!* I have grown up with dogs my entire life and have lived with dogs in different capacities. I am an avid dog lover but cannot have one full time because I travel for my work as a mechanical engineer. I get up very early and love to go on early morning runs or walks with the pups. I am located in sugarhouse but can travel most places in the city as requested. I have taken care of dogs of all sizes, from my mom's 7 pound papillion with health problems to my friend's 60 pound pitbull with a LOT of energy. I am excited to give your best buddy a lot of love and attention, and will send you plenty of photos to make sure you know they are getting the love they need!

Milly always goes out of her way to include our pup on activities he loves when he’s staying with her- hiking, long runs, hanging out with her friends and getting pets. He comes home happy and exhausted every time!!

Milly was the best babysitter! She watched my dog for a week and I knew Lola was taken care of. She sent lots of pictures and updates and I could tell Lola was happy. I would highly recommend and will use again!
Milly was easily the best Roger I've used to this point! I got constant pictures and updates which made my vacation that much better. She was extremely attentive with anything I brought up regarding my dog.

We have a fenced yard as well and the dogs have access to all of the area of the house we live in. I work from home full time, with occasional trips to my dog friendly office, but avoid the office when a dog is in my care unless they would enjoy playing with other dogs for a bit. My husband is also home full time, if you dog is reactive to men unfortunately they will not be a good fit for our home. I send at least 3 pictures a day while housesitting and dogsitting and frequent updates.

I know all dogs are great creatures and I do not believe in the breed restrictions others do. I am happy to take housesit any dog, just let me know your house rules so we can make sure they adhere to them in my home (i.e. allowed on the furniture, meal times, kennel time etc). For dog boarding, I do not take non-house broken dogs, dogs who are extremely vocal, ir dogs who are reactive with men BUT I would be happy to housesit for you!
A typical day
Dogs staying with me will go on 3-4 daily walks and runs (if they are up for it). I will do whatever I can to keep them to their routine and also make sure they get plenty of love and attention.

Availability
I work from home so have plenty of time to be with your pets! I am most available in the mornings for walks but most of my days are flexible. I love housesitting and can live in and make sure your pets stay on their schedule and get to be in an environment they know and are comfortable with. When a dog stays with me, we typically go on a morning adventure, usually going on a hike or on a 2-3 mile walk/run. In the afternoon we typically do a lighter exercise, maybe a mile walk or we have a fenced backyard I let them play in and I’ll sit back there and throw the ball to them for hours while I work on my laptop. Once it’s evening I like to go on another big walk or visit the dog park, if that’s something they’ll enjoy. All of this can be adjusted depending on your dog’s energy levels and preferences of course.
