My family got our first dog when I was around 6 years old and I am now 22. In total, we've had 6 dogs in my family, most of which were rescues. We've had mellow dogs, rambunctious dogs, old, and young dogs. I also did volunteer work in high school with the organization Companion Animal Rescue Effort. My duties there consisted mostly of walking dogs, playing with dogs, and cleaning kennels. I've also had pet cats, hamsters, fish, and a pet snake. I've lived with animals for my entire life and would treat yours as if they were my own. My favorite thing to do with my dog, Mortimer, is to go hiking or take him to the beach. He minds me very well when we go out because I've spent the most time training him and playing with him. This has included teaching him to sit, lay down, stay, and to be more gentile on walks (he used to pull non-stop on his leash).
