I got my first dog when I was ten years old. Ever since then, I've grown to love dogs as family! I've had three dogs of my own that my siblings and I took care of until old age. We just put our last dog, Duke, down a few months ago. :( My children wants dogs but my wife and I would like them to be old enough to take care of dogs without our help (before they can have their own). Last year, we watched a friend's dog and our kids loved it! So now, we thought this would be a great gift for them to temporarily "have a dog".
