Hello! My name is Mikkel and I have been an animal lover all of my life; especially a dog lover. Starting from the time I could hold a leash, not only was I learning how to look after and take of my family’s dogs, but I also accompanied and helped my mother with her dog obedience and Rally classes. So I have many years of basic dog obedience training and interacting with a wide range in dog breeds and sizes. Along with taking care of dogs and other animals I am also a professional actor. I have a day job in San Francisco as an actor at a family friends show. I mostly on the weekends but I can be scheduled during the week as well. Being that I work in San Francisco and commute to work from Vacaville, I can have long days. On days that I am in San Francisco for work I can be gone from 8 to 12 hours in a day. Also, stating February 21st, I will be in rehearsals for a show in the evening times in El Cerrito Ca. from 7pm-10pm. Please, take this into consideration when looking to book me, epically for an in home pet sitting stay. **My basic in your home stay pricing system** My current overall day rate is $35 a day, my current holiday rate is $45 a day. I charge by daily interactions with an animal for my services. For example: If you are booking me for 4 nights I also charge for the day you are returning since I will be interacting with the animal(s) with morning breakfast, potty breaks and or walks. If you are gone 4 nights and you are come home on the 5th day, your total would be $175 at $35 per day since it is a total of 5 daily interactions that I am caring for your pet(s). Pricing may vary depending on needs of the animals, how many animals are in the home and or your home location. I hold the right to charge what I feel is necessary stay by stay.** Now on a more personal note! My mother is a professional dog trainer with over 40 years of breeding, showing, and training experience and owned a boarding, training, grooming business in upstate New York. Under her guidance I learned basic to advanced obedience training and handling and have gone on to show Shetland sheepdogs in confirmation, obedience and Rally rings as well. I have put obedience and Rally titles on several dogs. As I got older, I started to pet sit for family friends; taking care of their dogs, other pets, and their homes. For well over 10+ years I have been training, walking, and sitting for dogs and cats. I have over 20+ years in caring and loving dogs and all animals. I am well versed in dog, pet, and home care. I am very comfortable with caring for all types and breeds of dogs, all ages of dogs and other pets. I have experience in working with puppies and young dogs. I even helped my mom whelp litters of Shetland Sheepdogs. I have experience caring for older dogs and their needs as well. I am experienced with giving medications and administering the proper dosage in both shot and oral forms. I have done this for both dogs and cats. I also have experience caring for cats, fish, rats, mice, and guinea pigs as well. **Additional fees may apply** In the end, I am a person who loves animals. I grew up loving and caring for animals and have been taught, from a young age, that pets only flourish when they are part of a family. I would love to extend my experience, knowledge, and that family feeling to others and their pets.
